Team AIFF Info:
Thank you so much for being a part of our festival! It really makes a difference to have smart, talented industry people running our Q & As and Panels.
Below we’ve tried to provide some information regarding the festival as it pertains to you.
There are a series of film events and parties that you are invited to throughout the festival. In order to best prepare, we need a headcount. Also below is a description of the events followed by a Google Questionnaire where you can RSVP. Please fill out one per person. Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Colin and Mark
Where do I park at the theatre?
There is a paid parking garage attached to the Alameda Theatre, 1416 Oak St near Central.
How do I “Check In”?
In the lobby, ask one of our Team AIFF members for a lanyard with the Team AIFF badge (pictured above)
Where do the movies show?
In Theatre #2, Theatre #3, and Theatre #4. Ground Floor of the Alameda Theatre Cineplex (Additional screenings upstairs in Theatre #8 on Sunday). There will be a schedule posted in the lobby indicating which theatre each program is in. Here is more schedule info including a link to downloadable PDF
When do doors open to the programs?
Doors open 15 minutes before each screening.
How long are the programs?
Running times vary. Please consult the schedule. Note that the running time listed excludes the Q&A. For example, a running time of 74 minutes is the combined length of the short films (or feature) in the program. After each block there is a Q&A with any filmmakers that are present. The Q & As should last 15-20 minutes for Shorts programs; maybe longer for features. One way to know when you have to end the Q & A is when the ad reel comes on since it’s scheduled to start 15 minutes before the next program. Once that’s up, you have to end the Q & A.
What movies can I watch when I am not moderating?
Any of them! However, we ask that you RSVP for our Grand Opening Film and Bill Plympton’s Slide
