Who gets a pass?
Each film receives up to two (2) complimentary Filmmaker Passes. Films with one representative present receive one (1).

Where do I pick up my Filmmaker Pass?
Upon arrival, please check in at the Lobby of the Alameda Historic Theatre & Cineplex, 2317 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501. Inform one of our “Team AIFF” members that you have arrived.

When can I pick up my pass?
On any day of the festival, February 22nd-25th, 2024 during our programming. Check the schedule for starting/ending time each day.
(For Local Filmmakers: We will be having a pass pick up party for our attendees on Sunday, February 18th at 4PM at The Preacher’s Daughter, 1629 Park Street, Alameda. If you wish to pick up your filmmaker pass early and meet the Executive Directors, please email us at aiff@alamedafilmfest.com.)

Filmmaker Participation
All of our programs are followed by a Q&A with any of the film representatives that are present. AIFF attendees are particularly interested in what filmmakers have to say.
IMPORTANT: Please let an AIFF Team Member know PRIOR to your screening that you are participating.
Please let us know if you are NOT going to be in attendance for your screening.
You should feel free to attend other screenings and then pop in for your Q&A. They will last around 20 minutes.
We ask for Shorts Q & A that you limit it to two representatives. Please contact us at aiff@alamedafilmfest.com to arrange tickets.
If you have cast or crew that want to attend, we may be able to provide complimentary tickets to their screening on a case by case basis.

Where do I park?
There is a paid parking garage attached to the Alameda Theatre, 1416 Oak St near Central.

How many movies are there to see?
A LOT! Seven features. Six shorts programs. That’s over 18 hours of film! Plus, four free panels from Industry Insiders. You can check out detailed information regarding our feature films and shorts programs on our Schedule. We suggest planning in advance what to see to make the best use of your pass.

* Note: The Dr. Eddie Henderson and Slide screenings are excluded from the Filmmaker Pass but single tickets may be purchased based on availability. The same applies to the Grand Opening After Party.

Where do the movies show?
In Theatre #2, Theatre #3, and Theatre #4. Ground Floor of the Alameda Theatre Cineplex. (Additional screening upstairs on Sunday)

When do doors open to the programs?
Filmmaker Pass Holders can take their seats right before each program, but may line up outside the doors to the theatres 10 minutes before.
We will seat B F D Passholders and Single Ticket holders first, then A-Lister Pass Holders, then Indie Pass Holders, then Filmmakers.

How long are the programs?
Running times vary. Please consult the schedule. Note that the running time listed excludes the Q&A. For example, a running time of 74 minutes is the combined length of the short films (or feature) in the program. Q & A’s are generally 15-20 minutes.
